Publication Ethics
JIKSI: Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Sistem Informasi is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. The journal follows the Core Practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics to ensure integrity, credibility, and transparency in the scholarly publishing process.
1. Authorship and Contributors
JIKSI requires clear authorship policies to ensure transparency regarding who contributed to the work and in what capacity.
Any authorship disputes will be handled promptly and fairly.
2. Complaints and Appeals
JIKSI provides a clear procedure for handling complaints against the journal, editors, reviewers, editorial board, or publisher.
All complaints will be treated seriously and resolved in a fair and impartial manner.
3. Allegations of Misconduct
JIKSI has a defined procedure for handling allegations of publication misconduct from any source.
All allegations, including those from whistleblowers, will be investigated carefully and addressed appropriately.
4. Conflict of Interest / Competing Interest
JIKSI defines conflicts of interest clearly and has policies for authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers.
All conflicts must be disclosed and managed properly.
5. Data and Reproducibility
JIKSI encourages data transparency and the use of reporting guidelines according to standard practices in each discipline.
The journal promotes reproducibility and research integrity.
6. Ethical Oversight
JIKSI maintains ethical oversight regarding:
- Publication approval
- Research involving humans
- Research involving animals
- Confidential data handling
- Ethical business practices
7. Intellectual Property
JIKSI has clear policies regarding copyright, licensing, and intellectual property.
Authors must understand pre-publication rules, plagiarism, and duplicate publication policies.
8. Post-Publication Discussion and Corrections
JIKSI allows post-publication discussion through letters to the editor or academic forums.
The journal provides mechanisms for correction, revision, or retraction when necessary.
9. Archiving Policy
JIKSI applies digital archiving to ensure long-term preservation of published articles.
The journal may cooperate with archiving services such as PKP PN and Portico.
10. Open Access Policy
JIKSI applies an open access policy, allowing free and unrestricted access to all articles.
The journal uses the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA) license.
11. Review Process
JIKSI uses a double-blind peer review process.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers to ensure quality and objectivity.
