Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Manuscripts submitted to JIKSI: Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Sistem Informasi will be screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin / iThenticate.
The journal will immediately reject manuscripts that contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
Before being sent to reviewers, all manuscripts are checked by the editorial team using similarity checking tools.
Manuscripts submitted to JIKSI must have a similarity score below 25%.
Definition of plagiarism
Plagiarism is presenting another person’s ideas or words as one’s own without permission, proper credit, or acknowledgment.
Plagiarism may occur in many forms, from direct copying to improper paraphrasing.
Forms of plagiarism
● Direct copying
Copying another author’s work word-for-word, in whole or in part, without permission or citation.
● Substantial copying
Reproducing a significant part of another author’s work without permission or reference.
Substantial copying may refer to quantity or importance of the copied part.
● Paraphrasing without citation
Rewriting ideas from another source without proper reference.
This form of plagiarism is often more difficult to detect.
